Like the live music Austin is famous for, effective business communication demands that professionals with many different talents work together to carefully craft a message that achieves a specific goal. At "Communication in Concert," the 2003 IABC U.S. District 5 Conference, we'll focus on ways that communicators work in concert with other business functions to contribute to organizational success.

Hotel Accommodations
This year's conference will be held October 1-3 in Austin, Texas, at the Hyatt Regency Austin on beautiful Town Lake. We have secured a conference rate of $119 for a single and $129 double. IABC's conference room rates are applicable September 30 through October 3, 2003. To receive the conference rate you must make your reservations directly with the hotel no later than September 9, 2003, and identify yourself as an IABC conference attender.

Program
Confirmed keynote speakers include: Elizabeth Heller Allen, VP of
Corporate Communications at Dell, Inc.; Ginger Hardage, VP of Public
Relations and Corporate Communications at Southwest Airlines; and Bob
Losure, veteran reporter and former anchor of CNN Headline News.

In between, there will be a choice of 22 concurrent sessions on a variety of topics, presented by professionals from across the nation and as far away as South Africa. There will also be plenty of time to network with your peers while dining around town and cruising on Austin's beautiful Town Lake.
