Communicating in Certain and Uncertain Times
Ginger Hardage
Vice President of Corporate Communications, Southwest Airlines

Southwest Airlines, the nation’s fourth largest airline, has been named one of the Most Admired Corporations by Fortune magazine. Hear from the company’s top communications officer about the challenges of communicating in good times and bad times in order to maintain your organization’s reputation. Ginger Hardage, vice president of corporate communications for Dallas-based Southwest Airlines, will address issues important to communicators in this era of rapid change.
Don’t leave early! You’ll miss the opportunity to win two round-trip tickets on Southwest Airlines — good for travel to any city SWA flies. Valid for one year and valued at $400 each, the tickets are compliments of Southwest Airlines and will be awarded at the end the closing session.

Presenter:
Ginger Hardage, who has worked for Southwest Airlines since 1990, oversees public relations, employee communications, civic and charitable contributions, legislative awareness and corporate information. As the company’s vice president of public relations and corporate communications, Hardage was recently named one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Public Relations by PRWeek, and the Texas Public Relations Association (TPRA) named her its PR Practitioner of the Year for 2000. That same year, PRWeek named the Southwest Airlines Corporate Communications team the Top Communications Department in the nation. In 1999, TPRA also recognized Southwest Airlines with its highest corporate award, The Lone Star Award, for consistently placing a high priority on the practice of creative public relations.
