Managing Change through Applied Interpersonal Communication
Regardless of whether you thrive on change or shy away from it, it’s how you handle it that counts. Communicators face change constantly and are called upon to help their organizations face it. But dynamics within an organization’s structure can impact your ability – both positively and negatively – to do that job effectively. This session will look at research on applied interpersonal communication and help you apply it toward better change management.

Presenter
John Daly, Ph.D. teaches graduate and undergraduate courses on topics such as Interpersonal Communication, Advocacy and Persuasion at the University of Texas at Austin. He received his Ph.D. from Purdue University, and he has published more than ninety scholarly articles, edited two academic journals and completed five academic books. He has served as President of the National Communication Association and on the Board of Directors of the International Communication Association and the International Customer Service Association.
